About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Marketing & PR Manager who lives and breathes public relations — someone who knows how to create visibility, build credibility, and drive brand authority through strategic PR.

This is a senior, hands-on role, suited to a confident professional who can take charge of PR activity end-to-end: from story creation and pitching to relationship-building, networking, and delivering measurable outcomes. This is not a junior role and not suited to journalists looking to transition — we are looking for someone who already understands how PR works in practice and can lead it with authority.

PR is a core pillar of this role, supported by digital marketing activity to amplify reach and results.

Key Responsibilities

PR & Media Relations (Primary Focus)

  • Lead and execute PR strategy across multiple client accounts

  • Write compelling, newsworthy press releases that secure coverage

  • Confidently pitch stories and secure meaningful media placements

  • Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media partners

  • Drive digital PR and outreach campaigns with clear objectives

  • Monitor, report on, and evaluate PR coverage and impact

Client & Campaign Leadership

  • Act as the senior PR point of contact for clients

  • Manage multiple campaigns, priorities, and deadlines with confidence

  • Communicate progress, results, challenges, and wins clearly with clients and internal teams

  • Support integrated marketing campaigns across social media and email where required

Growth, Networking & Strategy

  • Take ownership of growing PR and marketing services

  • Identify proactive PR opportunities, thought leadership angles, and media hooks

  • Attend industry events, networking functions, and relevant client engagements

  • Build visibility for both clients and the agency through relationship-driven PR

  • Contribute fresh ideas and strategic thinking to elevate campaigns and outcomes

Essential Experience

  • Proven PR experience (agency or in-house) at a senior level

  • Strong track record of pitching to media and securing coverage

  • Hands-on experience with digital PR and outreach strategies

  • Excellent press release writing and copywriting skills

  • Confident managing media databases, CRMs, and reporting

  • Highly organised with strong time management and leadership skills

  • Comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and leading PR initiatives

⚠️ This role is not suitable for journalists or entry-level candidates. Applicants must already understand and have executed PR strategy, pitching, and media relations.

  • LinkedIn (for outreach, networking, and relationship building)

  • PR monitoring and outreach tools

Bonus Skills (Advantageous)

  • SEO knowledge and understanding of PR’s role in digital visibility

  • Social media campaign management

  • Email marketing experience
