Job description

ZAR 16,000 per month | Full-Time | Office-Based, Gqeberha

Company Overview

Our client operates eight hospitality venues across London. The portfolio includes cocktail bars, pubs, restaurants, late-night venues and event-led spaces, each with its own customer profile, operating model and brand identity.

The Opportunity

The role is responsible for converting inbound enquiries into confirmed bookings, increasing pre-booked revenue, protecting enquiries within our client's group and ensuring that every confirmed event is handed over accurately to the relevant venue team. The position combines reactive sales, proactive outreach, customer service, booking administration and structured pipeline management.

Job requirements

Main Responsibilities

• Manage event and group-booking enquiries received by telephone, email, website forms, DesignMyNight and approved third-party channels.
• Acknowledge enquiries promptly, identify the customer’s requirements and prepare accurate venue recommendations, quotations and booking confirmations.
• Convert suitable enquiries into confirmed bookings while maintaining a professional and guest-focused sales approach.
• Cross-sell alternative venues within our client's group, dates or times when the first choice cannot accommodate the enquiry.
• Offer approved packages, food and drink options, premium areas and other relevant additions to increase booking value.
• Coordinate deposits, invoices, pre-orders, booking reminders and final information required before venue handover.
• Maintain complete booking-system and CRM notes so that venue teams can deliver the agreed event without avoidable clarification or operational risk.
• Conduct remote client meetings and virtual venue introductions; coordinate physical showarounds with London venue managers when required.
• Complete warm outreach to previous customers, lapsed enquiries, agents and approved prospect lists.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline and provide weekly forecasts, activity reports and KPI updates to our client and the third-party manager.

Required Experience and Skills

• Previous events sales, reservations, hospitality sales, venue sales, hotel events or comparable customer-facing commercial experience.
• A demonstrated ability to convert enquiries, upsell appropriately and manage a sales pipeline.
• Strong written and spoken English with confident telephone, video-call and email communication.
• Excellent organisation, time management, numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple live enquiries, event deadlines and venue requirements simultaneously.
• Experience with DesignMyNight or a comparable booking, CRM or reservations system is preferred.
• Reliable internet access, a suitable remote working environment and availability during agreed United Kingdom-aligned working hours.

The Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will be commercially motivated without using high-pressure sales methods, disciplined in following up, accurate in administration and confident working independently. Hospitality judgement is important: every offer made to a guest must be achievable by the venue, properly recorded and commercially sound.
